What began as a short story by Jim Dryden was expanded into a screenplay by Scott Von Doviak, which I then further expanded into a musical with tunes by Eric Jacobson. I have vague but fond memories of working as a part-time prop guy/bartender for this L.A. production of the immersive theatrical experience known as TAMARA. I have no idea how I wound up with this job or how long I worked there...but I do remember grabbing fried chicken one night with cast-member Jenette Goldstein (a.k.a. Vasquez from ALIENS) and telling audience member Ricki Lake about a terrible fire in the Hollywood Hills where her house was, thus totally bumming her out.

NO LOVE was an indie film script about romantic dysfunction that I later adapted for a stage production at the Eclectic Company Theater in North Hollywood, CA (produced by Tim Sprague and directed by Kerr Seth Lordygan).

Inspired by site-specific shows like TONY & TINA'S WEDDING, this was the first of four original productions I wrote and directed for The Pinehills Players (and the first of two posters created for the group by Jana Christy).

An insanely ambitious, site-specific murder mystery (inspired by the L.A. show TAMARA) that I wrote and directed as the second of two shows for The Pinehills Players...who pulled the production off with (barely) a hitch at historic Plimoth Plantation.

The third of four productions I wrote (with a little help from Bill Shakespeare) and directed for The Pinehills Players in Plymouth, MA (before producer Jeannine Washburn and several members of the troupe went on to found the Plymouth Community Theater).

The fourth of four original productions I wrote and directed for The Pinehills Players in Plymouth, MA (before producer Jeannine Washburn and several members of the troupe went on to found the Plymouth Community Theater...where I had the pleasure of directing their first show, THE BUTLER DID IT...SINGING!)

Together with Jed Weintrob, I helped to structure and write this free-form, tech-heavy performance art collaboration between dbox and the Builders Association theater company.

The first edition of a screenwriting game show that I hosted at the 2014 Williamstown Film Festival (with a second and possibly third edition planned for 2015 at other venues -- check ProjectScreenplay.net for details)!
